The Railway Recruitment Cell (Western Railway) inviting applications from interested and eligible employees of Western Railway for filling up the below posts.

Junior Stenographer (English): 

  • Number of posts: 07 Posts
  • Educational Qualification: 10+2 or equivalent with shorthand speed of 80 words per minute for a duration of 10 min with transcription time of 50 min.

Junior Stenographer (Hindi): 

  • Number of posts: 02 Posts
  • Educational Qualification: 10+2 or equivalent with shorthand speed of 80 words per minute for a duration of 10 min with transcription time of 65 min.

Junior Translator (Hindi): 

  • Number of posts: 08 Posts
  • Educational Qualification: 
    • Masters Degree or equivalent in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a compulsory or chosen subject or as a medium of examination at Degree Level.
      • AND
    • Recognized Diploma or Certificate Course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa or translation work in Central or State Government offices(2 years experience ), including Government of India Undertaking. 

Age Limit: 

  • Minimum: 18 years
  • UR: 42 years
  • OBC: 45 years
  • SC/ST: 47 years

Selection Procedure: 

  • Computer Based Test (CBT) 
  • Stenography Skill Test or Translation Test (as applicable)
  • Document Verification  
  • Medical Examination.

Pay Scale:

  • Level in 7th CPC
